For Freedom by itashleys-makeup For Freedom by itashleys-makeup
I wish there was more I could do to help those in Libya. I can't imagine what they're going through over there.

I've been trying to follow the news as best as I can but they don't really say much on tv.... (apparently Justin Beiber's hair is much more important that genocide) I can't believe the government is doing that to their own people.

I watched a video showing the bodies of protestors that were tied together and burned alive. I've read that the government ordered its military and supporters to do. I've seen the bullets they're using on people; .50 caliber. Theyre suppose to be used on vehicles and walls, not bodies. Over 2000 are dead, over 1000 are missing. Apparently the government won't give over any bodies until the families sign a release saying the person died in surgery.

What is wrong with people today? You are suppose to love your fellow human, not set them on fire or bomb them or shoot them.

I support Libya and their people. You all are brave and deserve your freedom. You don't deserve whats happening to you. Stay strong. xox

In my European history class, we've been making comparisons between all the things going on over there and the French Revolution. When we studied the French Revolution, I thought of those people as barbaric and felt separated from them by time. But I look at everything over there and see the same things happening, and I realize that the time period had nothing to do with it. Humans haven't changed much since then. It's disheartening, really.

I've been completely swallowed up by what I've been reading... it just doesnt seem real.
I just needed to express that I'm supporting them. I really do wish I could do more that that for Libya though
